PPC-210 for Digitech GSP2101

06/12/2006

Hello!

Some have asked me for a PPC210 module for the GSP2101 or the TSR24.
NOW I HAVE IT AVAILABLE IN A VERY SMALL QUANTITY!
These will be the last PPC210 ever made, because the parts for them are
definitely sold out completely!
So you can buy one of the last PPC210 modules ever!

Here is what you can purchase now:

PPC210 for Digitech GSP2101

This is a perfect rebuild of the Digitech PPC-210 Module which isn't
available from Digitech anymore.
It's a professional rebuild and comes with 100% functional guarantee.
The Module comes with detailed installation-manual in English and also with
a CD ROM which contains all necessary Software to store your settings and
patches on your PC over MIDI.
To install the PPC210 Module you need software- version 2.00 or higher in
your GSP2101.
If you don't know which software- version you've got:
- switch off the GSP2101
- switch on the GSP2101 while watching the display
- The Software- Version is shown there while boot up
- E.g. there is shown: "2.01.01.a."
- If you have a lower software- version, you have to update the software. A
software- upgrade kit you can get from me also!

I always recommend to upgrade to Software- Version 3.00.00.a.
With this software you'll get the best out of your GSP 2101
All you need to upgrade it you can buy from me!

BTW.: the ".a" at the end of the software- version describes, if you're
GSP2101 runs with 20MHz cycle frequency or not.
If you have a ".a" at the end of the software- version the Z80 (the Z80 is
the main- processor of your 2101) works with 20 MHz.
If you have no ".a" at the end of the software- version the Z80 works with
10 MHz only.

The PPC210 comes with SDISC I Processor.
The following information is only for the professionals:
I guarantee that the cannon echo will NOT appear with this PPC210. I have
found a special way to avoid it.

You will get the following benefits by installing the PPC210- Module:
- Create algorithms that use BOTH S-Discs simultaneously. This means that
you can now create some pretty big algorithms using more exotic modules than
with a single S-Disc unit.
- Switch Seamlessly between single S-Disc programs. This allows your
"Metallica Crunch" program to fade out according to your preprogrammed ramp
times while the 2101 is loading up your "Clean Delay" algorithm (because you
punched it up on your FC-1). The small amount of time it takes the 2101 to
load the second program is covered up with the sound of your previous
program fading out, rather than a sharp drop in sound. Furthermore, by
allowing slow fade and hold times, you can actually blend the two sounds
together for a few seconds to make the transition smoother. However, note
that as soon as the switch is made, your input is no longer sent to the
first program; the sound from that program is merely whatever sound was
still stored in its delay & reverb buffers.
Note: you cannot switch seamlessly from or to a Dual-S-Disc program, because
they require both S-Discs to operate. However, you can have Dual S-Disc
programs, and still use seamless switching for other (single S-disc)
programs. In other words, you don't have to choose between Seamless
Switching or Dual S-Disc Programs for your entire unit; just for your
individual programs. Just realize that there will be a small gap when
switching to or from Dual S-Disc programs.

The Upgrade contains:
- PPC 210- Module
- detailed installation manual in German and English
- Patch- CD (500 Patches, Archiving- Software aso. for the GSP2101)

Price:
The price is: 200EUR. You also can pay in US$.
200EUR = US$252
Shipping: depends to where you live and which shipping options you like to
have.
Standard world wide shipping is 8EUR = US$10
I accept Paypal, cash, bank transfer (for other methods contact me)
What I need to know from you:
- Your current Software- Version
- If you still want the PPC210 module
- Your shipping address.

Hey there Dieter, you helped my about 4 year's ago, I had started on mine, using some odd mem-chip's and a homemade board every thing was going fine, then my wife got cancer and soon pass-awy, on me.
After that i got bumdedout, and lost instrust, plus my project got screwed up being moved be some family, I did get the zipdram awhile back thinking to start anew . so i guess what I'm getting at is I have every thing but a PC board. would you sell one, and it so how much?
Thanks

Hi Dieter (GSP2101 Guru ),
I own a Digitech 2101 artist (old version). HOw can I upgrade the software to ver 3? I would like to upgrade it to the double processor. Can I still buy one from you?

I just started building my rack (20 years out of fashion but I like that a lot :-)))

I have an amazing Egnater ie4 pre amp

http://www.rocktron.com/egnater/ie4.html

a Digitech 2101 and a Mesa Boogie 50/50 power amp.

The egnater doesn't have the effect loop only a stereo output. I was wandering what the ideal signal path would be??? probably I would need a beringer rack mixer and go:
Egnater ie4 pre amp out 1 into in digitech.
Egnater ie4 pre amp out 2 into beringer mixer (dry);

Digitech GSP2101 out 1 and 2 in beringer mixer and mix the dry and wet in the beringer mixer, then out in stereo into the mesa, two speakers.

Any suggestions? Any interesting links?
Thanks a lot. Where can I buy Van Den Hul guitar cables?

Paul

WOW! I noticed the web site chronotronix.com. I've bought the 3.0 upgrade chips from you on Ebay and they worked great. Now I want one of those PPC-210 boards to broaden my effects.
